Biography
Ciaran Simms, BA, BAI, PhD, FTCD, MIEI is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Trinity College Dublin. He is a Principal Investigator in the Centre for Bioengineering at Trinity College Dublin and also a Fellow of Trinity College Dublin. He is President of the International Research Council on Biomechanics of Injury and the Soft Tissue Editor for the Journal of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials. Prior to working at Trinity College Dublin he held research engineer positions with TNO Automotive in Delft and Detroit and with Denis Wood Associates in Dublin.
