Biography
Dr. Connolly is a full-time lecturer in the Discipline of Occupational Therapy, Her current research interests include both occupational therapy and educational related research. Her primary occupational therapy related research is in the area of assessing the effectiveness of complex interventions for the management of chronic disease in primary care settings in the clinical areas of neurology, rheumatology and multi-morbidity. Her educational research is mainly in the area of the impact of enquiry and problem-based learning on students' knowledge and skill development in undergraduate education. She has published and presented her research widely. Dr. Connolly's has teaching responsibilities across both the occupational therapy undergraduate and post-graduate curricula in TCD. She is currently Course Director of the 2-year part-time, taught occupational therapy MSc in TCD. She has supervised MSc and PhD students to completion and is currently supervising MSc and PhD students. Dr. Connolly is a member of the editorial board of Occupational Therapy International
