Biography

Over 10 year experience in research on algorithms, programming models and middleware architectures to support future sensor-driven mobile applications, with a particular focus on the smart cities domain. ï‚§ Over 40 publications in the domains of middleware for Wireless Sensor Networking, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and Smart Cities, including 6 journal articles, a book chapter and a book. ï‚§ Participated in 8 national and international research projects with both academic and industrial partners. Experience of collaborative and interdisciplinary research projects. ï‚§ Participated in 5 successful national and European proposals, including 3 as principal investigator. Successful research program development. ï‚§ Elected member of the Trinity Board, chair of the Equality Committee, member of the Human Resources committee, and member of the Centre for Women in Science & Engineering Research (WiSER) steering group. Representative roles at different levels of college life. ï‚§ Reviewer for over 25 workshops, conferences and journals. Actively involved in the scientific community.
