Conann Fitzpatrick Alvarez-casado

Biography

As an artist working within the film industry in California, Conánn has contributed to both traditional and 3D animated productions as well as live action productions for studios such as DreamWorks. As a design consultant Conánn has worked on the development of interactive systems for patient education and medical and product 3D visualizations.

Research Interest

As Lecturer in digital animation he is actively involved in the development of the creative media industries in Northern Ireland as former acting director of the Northern Ireland Skillset Media Academy. Through the Belfast School of Art and Design, Conánn and Professor Maguire develop and deliver specialist training programmes, bringing industry standard skills and processes to the creative sector. In conjunction with the office of innovation Conánn is active in consultancy, including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and innovation vouchers. Primary areas of research are in creative problem solving and the development of team innovation both within industry and course delivery.
