Biography
Danielle McWall, Associate Head of Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics in Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics at Ulster University, Danielle McWall is the Course Director for the BSc Hons Accounting degree at Ulster University, Jordanstown. She has been with Ulster since January 2006 and prior to that she was an Audit Director in BDO Belfast. Danielle holds a BSc Hons Accounting and an MBA, she is both a Chartered Accountant and a qualified internal auditor.
Research Interest
Accounting, Finance and Economics, While working in practice, she was seconded to BDO Seidman LLP in San Francisco and spent a very successful 16 months with them. She has also worked on accounting and audit projects across Europe and in Kiev, Ukraine. Danielle sits on the Academic Advisory Board of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Ireland and is an examiner and test sitter for the Association of International Accountants (AIA). She is also involved in the Final Admitting Exam (FAE) for Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) and the Fundamental Papers for ACCA. As such she has a wealth of knowledge and experience across several professional accounting bodies which helps her students navigate their way towards a career as a professional accountant if that is the route they’d like to take. Danielle enjoys her teaching role at UU and brings many of her real life examples, cases and dilemmas into the classroom bringing subjects to life.
