Biography
Dewar is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Computing in Cardiology Inc. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Electrocardiology and has served as conference Chairperson for both the 37th (2010) Computing in Cardiology conference and the 40th (2015) Conference of the International Society for Computerised Electrocardiology.
Research Interest
Dewar Finlay is a Reader in Electronic Engineering in the School of Engineering and a member of the Engineering Research Institute. Dewar’s main area of research interest is in healthcare technology. In particular he is interested in the application of technology in cardiovascular medicine with a particular focus on computerised ECG analysis. He has secured funding to support this research from a number of funding bodies that include: EU (H.2020), ESRC, DEL, InvestNI, HEA.
