Biography
Diane obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice and has been a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority since 2008. She designed and leads the innovative online Postgraduate Diploma Stem Cell Biology programme which was developed with BBSRC Modular Training for Industry funding. Research Interest
Investigating epigenetic regulation in normal development and disease e.g. osteoarthritis and hypertension. Particular focus is on the role of DNA methyltransferase enzymes in carrying out faithful transmission of the DNA methylation pattern and their contribution to onset and pathology of disease. Investigating the influence of environmental factors such as nutrients and xenobiotics on DNA methylation maintenance and reprogramming.
