Biography
Lucy Michael, Lecturer in Sociology in School of Applied Social and Policy Sc. at Ulster University
Research Interest
Dr Michael works closely with civil society organisations and public bodies to improve reporting and recording of racist incidents, and to collect data to understand the particular experiences of ethnic minorities of racism in Ireland. In particular her partnership with ENAR Ireland has produced innovative research on reporting as bystander intervention. Recent work with Business in the Community Northern Ireland focused on race equality in Northern Ireland’s workplaces.
