Biography
Marian McLaughlin, Senior Lecturer in School of Psychology at Ulster University, Marian McLaughlin is a Senior Lecturer and the Learning and Teaching Co-ordinator within the School of Psychology at Ulster University. She is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and the Centre for Higher Education and Research Practice. Marian is a Charted Psychologist and a Fellow of the BPS. She is also a member of the Northern Ireland Branch of the Division of Health Psychology and the Children’s Research Network.
Research Interest
Psychology Research, Marian’s main research interests are in the areas of child health and well-being, theoretical applications to health, in particular the use of the theory of planned behaviour for the design and evaluation of behavioural change interventions including sexual health, oral health and e-cigarette use. Her research has been funded by the BBSRC/ESRC, the R&D Office, the Health Services Executive and the Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke.
