Biography

Orla McBride, Lecturer in Psychology - Mental Health in School of Psychology at Ulster University,  Orla McBride is a Lecturer in Psychology (Mental Health) and is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. Orla is an experienced quantitative researcher, with considerable expertise in using survey data to investigate the psychological consequences of problematic alcohol use.

Research Interest

She has held research posts in Australia (University of New South Wales), the USA (Michigan State University), and the Republic of Ireland (Royal College of Surgeons). She has published over 30 research papers in international peer-reviewed journals. She has current research support from the NIHR Health Services and Delivery Research programme, in collaboration with the University of Warwick. Orla is also an Assistant Editor for Addiction and a Handling Editor for Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology.
