Rory Quinn

Biography

Rory teaches aspects of spatial mapping and underwater remote sensing on the marine science, environmental science and geography degree programmes. He is the Course Director for the BSc Marine Science and co-ordinates final year dissertations across the School.

Research Interest

Rory is a marine geoscientist, interested in applications of ocean mapping methods. His research focuses on detecting, quantifying and understanding change in past and present geomorphological, archaeological and bio-physical environments. A better understanding of these processes allows us to inform policy makers and develop effective mitigation strategies to minimise loss in the face of increasing natural and human forcing.
