Biography
Talal Fateh's research activities focus of how materials react when they come into contact with fire. He uses a multi-scale approach from the micro scale to real scale, these investigations lead to better knowledge of thermal decomposition as well the evolution of the thermal properties. The output will use numerical code in order to predict the spread of the fire.
Research Interest
He is also interested in research activites that couple the gaseous emissions that are released during thermal degradation with the evolution of the pyrolysis through a solid. This research can help construction material suppliers to improve fire resistance of their products helping to reduce possible fatalities due to smoke toxicity. The importance of Talel's research relates with the design and production of new materials before they are used in construction, which improves safety in building and transport facilities.
