Biography
Professor Victor Gault holds a BSc Hons Biochemistry from Queen’s University Belfast (1998) and a PhD in Diabetes and Endocrinology from Ulster University (2001). He was a Research Associate in Diabetes at Ulster (2002-04) before being appointed to Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences (2004-2009). He was then promoted to Senior Lecturer 2009 and Professor in 2013. Victor has over 15 years experience in diabetes research with specific expertise in brain-gut peptides and incretin hormones. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed publications (h-index 32), presented data at numerous national / international conferences and has attracted significant external research funding.

His research interests are Gut peptides: physiology and pathophysiology, Development of incretin mimetics and Diabetes and cognitive dysfunction.
