Biography
Dr. Catherine Kavanagh is a Lecturer in Economics at UCC and received her PhD from the University of Aberdeen. Her research areas include compensation in the workplace, labour market policies, the skills and qualifications of workers, income distribution and measures of progress.Dr. Kavanagh is the Programme Director of the MSc in Business Economics in the School of Economics. She was formerly Manager of the Government appointed group, the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs and is a former member of the Council of the National Centre for Performance and Partnership. She is currently a member of the Academic Council of Social Justice Ireland.
