Biography
She lectures in Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her current research interests are in the areas of monetary policy and monetary history, transformational learning and price search. She is the Programme Director for the BA (Hons) Economics (through Transformational Learning).
Research Interest
Dr. Ella Kavanagh's research interests are in the following areas: . Undertaken research on the macroeconomic impact of exchange rate regimes and historical development of Financial Institutions in Ireland, particularly their governance structure and practice. Current research is on the historical and comparative development of monetary policy in Ireland - causes and influences. . Current interest, relating to new programme development, on the conditions of a transformational learning environment and its impact on transformational learning. . Interests in the macroeconomic context and the modelling of price searching behaviour.
