Research Interest
Major research themes are molecular magnetism, functional coordination materials and the interplay between the two. I undertake the rational design of coordination polymers and porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) to produce materials that can be utilised to detect chemical and physical change using magnetometry. This can give insight into absorption processes in MOFs that is unobtainable using standard gas sorption analysis, allowing us differentiate different processes in the MOF.
