Grubbs at Caltech, USA (1986/88), Habilitation at Marburg University in 1992, joined UCD in 1991, senior lecturer since January 2005 Working as professor at University college of Dublin, Ireland in Chemistry Department. Research Interest
Polymer synthesis, transition metal catalysis, olefin metathesis polymerisation (ROMP), migratory insertion polymerisation (Ziegler-Natta catalysis including late transition metal catalysis), "living" polymerisations, polymerisation of cyclic olefins, control of stereochemistry, analysis of polymer microstructure and thermal properties, partially fluorinated polymers, step polymerisation methodologies.
