Briga Hynes

Biography

Briga is Programme Director for the Masters in International Entrepreneurship Management. Briga's teaching extends the area of entrepreneurship and small business development to include Enterprise Development, Business Consulting, Managing International Business Growth and Internationalising Small Firms. Her teaching experience spans undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience groups and includes the design and delivery of business development programmes for owner-managers. Briga's research interests lie in entrepreneurship education, where the research investigates the different pedagogical approaches to teaching entrepreneurship across disciplines. Additionally she was a member of a team commissioned by Enterprise Ireland to undertake a national evaluation of the YES entrepreneurship education programme delivered to second level schools in Ireland. A second stream of research explores small firm growth and internationalisation. This research is focussed on mainstream entrepreneurs and on social entrepreneurs.
