Biography
I completed my MSc study on ‘becoming a mother following in vitro fertilization’ in University of Dublin, Trinity College. My on-going work is in the area of antenatal interventions to support the transition to parenthood for women and their partners. I have taken part in Limerick Lullaby project exploring the impact of singing lullabies during pregnancy. I have conducted research on infant CPR education for expectant I have worked extensively in midwifery practice and education and have conducted research into student midwives experience of the OSCE assessment process. I contribute to teaching and learning committees within the department, faculty and HSE. My research plan is centred on the following themes; antenatal interventions and the transition to parenthood, development of assessment tools, student midwife education
Research Interest
< Assisted reproductive technology and becoming a mother; the use of OSCES in midwifery education; infant cpr skills for expectant women and their partners. My on-going work is in the area of antenatal interventions to supprt the transition to parenthood.
