Biography
Margaret is a qualified nurse and midwife, a graduate of UCD (BNS), Trinity College (MSc) and University of Bedfordshire (PhD). Caring, person centred care,older person nursing and student learning are key areas of interest. Exploring how we create dialogical learning spaces with students through reflection, fostering transferable learning from practice is central to my work. Currently chair of Student Representative Forum and member of the Department Quality Review Team. I lead and coordinate reflective practice within undergraduate programmes. I am interested in developing practice through narrative methodologies. Member of the collaborative group led by the office of Chief Nursing Officer Department of Health, Office of Nursing and midwifery Health Services Executive and Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland: national consultation and Position paper Reaffirming the values of nursing and Midwifery 2016.
