Biography
Dr Thomas Turner lectures in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations at the Department of Personnel and Employment Relations, Kemmy School of Business at the University of Limerick. His main areas of research include developments in employment relations in Ireland at workplace and national level, trade union trends and the impact of immigrants in the Irish labour market. Current research studies include European attitudes to immigrants in the workplace, union organising and activism, and the impact of HRM on earnings and inequality in the workplace. His publications include some 60 referred journal articles in journals such as the British Journal of Industrial Relations, the Industrial Relations Journal, Economic and Industrial Democracy and the International Journal of Human Resource Management as well as national refereed Irish journals, book chapters and author/editor of a number of books.
