Biography
Annette has just graduated with a PhD by Research, funded by the HSE involving antenatal care services for low risk pregnant women. Annette’s professional qualifications involve general nursing and midwifery. Annette’s research area involves woman-centred care and links with midwifery-led care, referral pathways/ access to midwifery-led care and alternative health care to enhance well-being both during pregnancy and in general. Annette has previously worked at WIT as an assistant lecturer and is currently employed by WIT as a Technical Officer for Nursing and Healthcare and facilitates lecturing hours. In addition, Annette currently continues to work as a registered practicing midwife with the maternity services at UHW.
