Biography
Dr. Damian Connolly received his B.Sc. (Hons) in Analytical Science from Dublin City University (DCU) in 1999 and subsequently joined Bristol Myers-Squibb as a Quality Control Analyst. He spent 6 years in industry during which time he obtained a Ph.D in Analytical Chemistry from DCU working on the development of fast ion chromatography. In January 2006 he took up a position of post-doctoral researcher in the Centre for Bioanalytical Sciences (CBAS) working on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of bio-pharmaceutical industry samples. In January 2009, he moved to the Irish Separation Science Cluster (ISSC) as Programme Coordinator based at DCU, (and later, an SFI Funded Investigator) responsible for coordinating separation science research between academic and industry partners. Dr. Connolly is currently a lecturer of Analytical Chemistry at Waterford Institute of Technology.
