Biography
Frances is a lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Healthcare at Waterford Institute of Technology and Course Leader for the Postgradaute Diploma in Nursing Programme. Her responsibilities include teaching and supervising students on the undergraduate/postgraduate nursing and applied healthcare programmes; maintaining links with clinical practice through her link lecturer role and curriculum development. She also has a key interest in health informatics and connected health and is a member of the Health Informatics Society of Ireland Nursing and Midwifery (HISINM). Her research interests focus on (1) the sustainable impact of postgraduate nurse education on both practitioner and practice development through work based learning; and (2) new ways of working through connected health.
