Biography
Niamh Maguire is a Lecturer in criminal law and criminology at Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT). She completed her undergraduate studies in law at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and later returned to TCD to complete my PhD in 2008. She also hold an M.Sc. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Edinburgh University and she professionally qualified as a barrister. Currently she lecture Criminology, Policing and the Police, and Probation on the BA (Honours) Criminal Justice Studies. She was Programme Leader for the BA (Honours) in Criminal Justice Studies at WIT from 2012 to 2014. At postgraduate level, She teach Comparative Criminal Justice Systems as an elective on the MA in Applied Social Studies at WIT.
