Biography
Una is currently course leader for the BSc in Horticulture WD097 and liaises with Teagasc on the delivery of the course at the Botanic Gardens. Una trained in the Botanic Gardens (1980- 82) and worked in a number of gardening posts culminating as OPW Head Gardener of the War Memorial Park at Islandbridge during its extensive restoration. She took a career break and returned to college as a mature student attending UCD and graduating with a BAgSc (Land Hort)(1996) . Una was award a scholarship prize based on her 1st year results and went on to win the Irish Landscape Institute student design award for her final year project .
