Biography
Dr. Imad Dweikat is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Al-Quds University , Isreal. His research interests includes Organic acidemia. He is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Imad Dweikat is the member of many international affiliations. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He has authored of many research articles/books related to Organic acidemia.

Organic acidemia, Lysosomal storage diseases, Glycogen Storage Disease especially type I & III.

Combined treatment with oral metronidazole and N-acetylcysteine is effective in ethylmalonic encephalopathy. I am one of the co-authors of this article which describes the clinical response of four patients to the combined treatment in terms of improvement in neurologic status, skin and Gastroenterologic manifestations. It is published online in Nature Medicine on July, 25 2010.

Propionic acidemia mimicking diabetic ketoacidosis. I am the corresponding author of this clinical report which describes the rare presentation of Propionic acidemia with severe hyperglycemia and ketoacidosis. It is published in the Brain & Development Journal on 2010 Jul 13. [Epub ahead of print].

GM1 Gangliosidosis manifesting with neonatal-onset of diffuse ecchymosis and Mongolian spots. I am the corresponding author of this clinical report which describes dermal melanocytosis or skin pigmentation as an early findings of GM1 Gangliosidosis and other lysosomal storage diseases.
