Biography

Prof. Noah Isakov is the Joseph H. Krupp Professor of Cancer Immunobiology and Chair of the Shraga Segal Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, in Beer Sheva, Israel.  Prof. Isakov earned his Ph.D. in Immunology from the Weizmann Institute of Science (1981) and performed his postdoctoral training at the Immunobiology Research Center and the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, at the University of Minnesota (1981-1983). He then worked as a Scientific Associate at the Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, California (1983-1987), and as a Visiting Scientist at the Cell Biology and Metabolism Branch, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland (1993-1995). From 2003-2004 he was on Sabbatical at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Oklahoma City, where he held the Esther Z. Greenberg Honors Chair in Biomedical Research. Prof. Noah Isakov is the Joseph H. Research Interest

We are interested in studying the mechanisms of regulation of T-lymphocyte activation, signaling pathways mediating cell growth regulation and differentiation, determination of the role of oncogene and protooncogene products in neoplastic processes, and mechanisms of cell transformation.
