Biography
Dr Bar-Meir attended the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem, where he completed Medicine in 1968. He then attended Beilinson Medical Center in Israel, where he gained his training in Internal Medicine, and Yale University, where he completed 2-year fellowship in Hepatology. He had also a second fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in the USA. Dr Bar-Meir followed this with a faculty position in Gastroenterology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Research Interest
His research interests are endoscopic simulators, new endoscopic techniques, including capsule endoscopy and IBD.
