Avi Fischer

Biography

With almost thirty years of history in some of Israel’s largest transactions, Mr. Avi Fischer is one of the most experienced and well-known figures in Israel’s business world. In addition to his role as the Chairman of Clal Biotechnology, Mr. Fischer is the Chairman and CEO of Clal Industries, Co-Chairman of Infinity Israel-China Fund, Chairman of ClalTech, Clal Industries’ high-tech arm, and Clal Energy. Mr. Fischer serves as a director on various boards such as Nesher Cement Enterprises, Golf&Co., Jafora-Tabori and more. Prior to his involvement in Clal Industries, Mr. Fischer was a co-founder of Fischer Behar Chen Well Orion & Co., one of Israel’s leading law firms. Mr. Fischer is a Lieutenant Colonel (res.) in the armored corps of the IDF. Mr. Fischer earned his LLB from the Tel Aviv University and was a faculty member at the Tel Aviv University Law School from 1983 to 1989.
