Rainer Berthan

Biography

 Rainer Berthan is the Executive Vice President, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Operational Excellence at Dentsply Sirona and Managing Director at the Dentsply Sirona Bensheim site. He leads the manufacturing and supply chain function globally. Prior to the merger of DENTSPLY International Inc. and Sirona Dental Systems Inc., he had held the position of Executive Vice President of Sirona since August 2012. Before joining Sirona, Mr. Berthan worked for five years in the MDAX-listed joint stock company Demag Cranes, where he was member of the Executive Committee of the company holding, as well as the Managing Director of the two subsidiaries Demag Cranes & Components and Gottwald Port Technology – both world leaders in their specific mechanical engineering fields. From 2004 to 2008, Rainer Berthan was the Managing Director of the Chinese subsidiary of Weidmüller, a German electrotechnology company. Between 2002 and 2004 he was a member of the board of New Tech Com Europe, a leading provider of mobile communications infrastructure. Prior to this, Rainer Berthan held various management positions at RWE and Daimler-Benz. Rainer Berthan has a degree in business administration from the Munich University of Applied Sciences.
