Arun Menawat

Biography

  Dr. Arun Menawat, has an accomplished history of executive leadership success in the healthcare industry. He served as the President & CEO and Chairman of the Board of Novadaq Technologies Inc. from April 2003 to July 2016, where he led the company from a start-up to among the top ten fasted growing medical device companies. He led the company to an IPO in the Canadian TSX and US NASDAQ listing.Previously, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Cedara Software, medical imaging software company (Now part of IBM) where he led the company to profitability. The company was sold to Merge Healthcare and ultimately to IBM for their Watson program. He obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical (Bio) Engineering from the University of Maryland, while concurrently completing a fellowship in biomedical engineering at the U.S. National Institute of Health, and holds an Executive MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.  In 2014, He was named the EY Ontario Entrepreneur of the Year in the health sciences category. ElMindA would like to convey its appreciation to Prof. Amir Geva.
