Sima Nadler

Biography

Sima Nadler has two global roles within IBM. She leads a privacy initiative focused on helping IBM and other enterprises ensure that the sensitive data they collect is used according to end user wishes (consent) and according to company and legal policies. Doing so requires linking the data collected to the relevant policies and user consent, something which does not exist in today's IT nor cloud systems. A description of the project can be seen here. Sima is a member of the Israeli Privacy Protection Committee providing guidance to the ministry of Justice and Israeli law makers. Sima also leads IBM's research efforts for the Retail Industry, working closely with IBM's product, services and sales organizations in addition to leading Retail customers. She ensures that the Research division focuses on providing innovative, game changing capabilities relevant to IBM's Retail customers. Sima also works closely with IBM's Smarter Commerce product division, bringing Research's ground breaking work into IBM products.
