Michael Petruny has more than 25 years of experience in the life sciences industry with both pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies and as a consultant. In particular, he has held such industry positions as Vice President in a leading marketing consulting firm; National Sales Director at Astellas where he had oversight for a best in class transplant product, and guided expansion of the sales force, while also implementing its first sales management team; Vice President of Sales at Cylex, a venture capital backed firm in which sales were increased seven fold during his tenure; and General Manager of Olerup, Inc. where he revamped the organizational infrastructure and operations, while doubling sales and realigning the sales force. Mr. Petruny also served as an Executive in Residence for an emerging company with a high technology veterinary product, where he helped guide the organization through regulatory and compliance requirements, while also identifying and developing relationships with key industry stakeholders. Mike holds an undergraduate degree in Economics, and a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Louisiana State University. He has published numerous peer reviewed abstracts and conducted background research in preparation for the publication of two sales and marketing textbooks.
