Biography
Dr. Moshe Oron is an expert in the laser field, has patents and publications. Moshe has a Ph.D. in optical engineering, University of Rochester (1975). He carries more then 40 years of engineering experience. Founder and manager of the laser and optical activity at Soreq research center, Yavne, Israel (1965-1992). Head of Optronics division MOD-R&D directorate (1982-1985) and the Chief Scientist of El-Op group and later Elbit Systems group (1992-2001). Founder of the Optical Engineering inter faculty undergraduates study line. Past President of ILEOS (Israeli Laser and Electro Optics Society), Chairman of the Israeli National committee for microelectronics and electrooptics (1994-current), and a part-time Professor at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (1990-current).
