Biography
Dr. Lior Shaltiel is an awarded Ph.D. researcher with extensive international scientific experience and strong communication/interpersonal skills. Dr. Shaltiel has an extensive multidisciplinary knowledge from chemical engineering to molecular biology, (electro-)physiology, pharmacology and drug delivery systems. Prior to joining Lipocure Ltd., as senior scientist and project manager, Dr. Shaltiel studied and worked in Germany, where he finished his Ph.D. studies at the Ludwig-Maximilans-University (LMU) of Munich, and continued his postdoctoral studies at the Goethe-University in Frankfurt a. Main. In Lipocure, Dr. Shaltiel is responsible for conducting the research and development activities including European projects such as the TAMPting project (FP7) for customizing liposomes with tail-anchored protein chimeras and antibodies for drug delivery of nano-liposomal anticancer drugs. Mr. Shaltiel holds a B.Sc (summa cum laude) in Chemical Engineering, specialization in biotechnology, and M.Med.Sc degree in Physiology from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU).
