Biography
Chaharom received his masters of education and management from Cambridge College in 1992. Chaharom began his career in Quality Assurance (QA) and Operation roles in the early 1990s at Medtronic, C.R. Bard and NMT Medical. He guided QA operations and regulatory projects for various cardiac implants such as the Septal Occluder Device and Vena Cava Filter. In 2003, Chaharom joined LightLab Imaging and held various senior executive positions in QA/RA and Operations. He led program management including regulatory affairs, clinical trial and manufacturing operations for optical coherent tomography coronary imaging system, approved in US in 2010. LightLab was later acquired by St. Jude Medical in 2010. In 2010, Chaharom joined GeNO, LLC, an early pharmaceutical start-up company developing inhaled nitric oxide gas and delivery systems. In 2015, Chaharom was promoted to managing director leading European marketing authorization and commercialization efforts. During this time, Chaharom taught medical device development and commercialization course at Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) and mentored graduates in their new business ventures. Chaharom founded Coherent MedDev Strategies in 2016, a consulting firm focusing in early stage medical device companies in product development, regulatory, operations, supply chain and fund-raising strategies, with the main goal of achieving break-even point as early as possible. Leveraging FIT’s highly skilled faculties and graduate students as resources in product design, prototyping and testing, a win-win partnership opportunities were created for medical device companies and academic institutions.
