Biography
Sandman is a retired executive and corporate counsel for various large companies within Massachusetts. He earned a bachelor of arts in history (summa cum laude) from Boston College in 1969 and a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School in 1973. Sandman began practicing general corporate law at Goodwin, Proctor and Hoar in 1973. He joined Wang Laboratories in 1981, rising to the ranks of senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of the company. In 1993, Sandman joined Boston Scientific Corporation, where he served as executive vice president, secretary and general counsel until his retirement in 2008.
Research Interest
Sandman supports many philanthropic groups, including the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston, Inner-City Scholarship Fund, Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and the American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay. ​
