Biography
Dan Littman is a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, Helen L. and Martin S. Kimmel Professor of Molecular Immunology, and Professor of Pathology and Microbiology, New York University School of Medicine, Skirball Institute of Molecular Medicine.  He has made seminal contributions to the fields of immunology and virology including the understanding of the molecular basis of immune recognition, T-cell differentiation, HIV pathogenesis and the role of the gut microbiota in immune system development and regulation.  Prof. Littman is a member of the National Academy of Sciences.
