Biography
Anita Wilson is the Administrative Director, EMR and IT Clinical Operations for Miami Children’s Health System, one of the nation’s premier organizations focused on providing premier care for children. She is responsible for the Cerner EMR including the clinical and revenue cycle teams and continues as the IT liaison for the MCHAnywhere Telehealth program. Anita received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science from Vanderbilt University and Master’s in Nursing Administration from the University of San Diego. Ms. Wilson has spent over 20 years in healthcare and information technology, first as a pediatric nurse and later as a healthcare IT leader. During this time she has worked at various academic hospitals and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN's). She holds numerous IT and healthcare certifications including Certified Healthcare CIO, (CHCIO), Fellow in HIMSS (FHIMSS), and Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Technology (CPHIMS). Ms. Wilson is also actively involved in professional organizations including CHIME and HIMSS.
