Prof. Amir Ayali is working as a assistant professor in the Dept. of Zoology of Tel aviv university
Research Interest
Research topic: neural plasticity and behavior: from neuronal networks to behaving animals; Invertebrate models in neuroscience. Research methods: Behavioral observations and analysis, Electrophysiology, Computer modeling and simulations, Molecular biology, Immunohistochemistry, and more. Main projects in the lab include: Insect locomotion: neural generation, coordination and control – from biology to robotics Neural mechanisms of rhythmic behavior: central pattern generating circuits Locusts and their density-dependent phases: a model for behavioral and neurobiological plasticity Bio-inspired technological applications (collaborative projects with engineering, Mathematics, and more)
