Dror Avisar

Biography

Prof. Dror Avisar is a native of Tel Aviv, Israel. He has established a unique and world-leading hydrochemistry research group and laboratory studying the chemical-physical and transport of various nano-micro contaminants within the aquatic environments. Additionally, the hydrochemistry group is developing an innovative, based AOP technologies for the removal and breakdown of these contaminants.

Research Interest

Identifying the fate and transport mechanisms of pharmaceuticals and degradation by-products in domestic, Industrial and hospital wastewater, effluents and biosolids; industrial fish ponds, effluent irrigated fields, river streams and groundwater, Technology development for water treatment and purification via Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) for removal of pharmaceutical compounds from wastewater effluent.
