Biography
Roded Sharan is working as Professor of Computer Science Department at Tel Aviv University, Israel. He is Member of the Edmond J. Safra Bioinformatics Center. His Research group focuses on modeling biological data using networks and applying graph algorithmic techniques to mine these data and extract patterns of biological significance.
Research Interest
Research in the group focuses on modeling biological data using networks and applying graph algorithmic techniques to mine these data and extract patterns of biological significance. Research projects combine tackling graph theoretic problems and analyzing real data with biological collaborators. Example projects include: Inferring subnetworks that underlie a biological process of interest by integrating protein network data with gene expression or phenotypic information, Construction and analysis of Boolean network models, Predicting drug properties and their applications in the clinical practice, Evolutionary analysis of protein-protein interaction networks.
