Biography

Prof. Danziger is Assistant Dean of International Affairs. He joined the Coller School of Management in the fall of 2011 after being a faculty member of the Department of Management at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Prof Danziger has a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of California at Davis and was a post-doctoral fellow in the Psychology department at the University of Wales, Bangor. Prof. Danziger’s research is on Consumer Behavior. He applies behavioral methodology wherein human participants complete experiments and online surveys. Topics that people in the lab are working on include consumer responses to waiting, consumer understanding of causal arguments in marketing communications, consumer price perceptions, the effects of language on consumer thought, consumer online reviews, the effects of visual transients on goal directed processing on the web, differences between what people choose for themselves and what they advise others to do, and how engaging in pro-social behavior influences decision making. Shai's work has appeared in Nature Neuroscience, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Proceeding of the National Academy of Science, Psychological Science, Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception & Performance, Perception & Psychophysics, Psychonomic Bulletin & Review, Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, Current Biology, Journal of Behavioral Decision Making, Journal of Economic Psychology and Psychology & Marketing. Shai serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Consumer Psychology. He has been an ad-hoc reviewer for Cognition, Psychonomic Bulletin & Review, Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception & Performance, Journal of Decision Making, Journal of Economic Psychology and for the Association of Consumer Research (ACR).
