Biography

Cognitive correlates and performance of patients with brain tumors – adult and children. Pre and post surgery. Performance of children and teenagers diagnosed with brain tumors on various cognitive tests, computerized and verbal. Control groups include children and teenagers with oncological diagnoses who have undergone radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy involving or affecting the brain. Examining the cognitive performance of survivors of pediatric brain tumors, namely, children and teenagers who have been diagnosed and treated for brain tumors in the past and have terminated the treatments successfully at least one year earlier. A special focus is placed on survivors of medulloblastoma.

Research Interest

Psychosocial correlates of oncological diseases, focusing on neurological involvement and complications. Special emphasis is on diseases with brain damage due to tumors, surgery, or radiotherapy. Subjects are individuals of all ages, ranging from children to elderly patients. Research topics include also brain damage due to senility, Alzheimer, and CVA.
