Biography
Professor of Geography at the Department of Geography and Human Environment, at the Tel Aviv University. I have published articles and book chapters on ethnicity, citizenship and gender in planning and development. I am the editor of Gender, Planning and Human Rights (1999, Routldege) and the author of The Global City and the Holy City: Narratives on Knowledge, Planning and Diversity (2004, Pearson). I am the founder and the first chair (2000-2003) of Bimkom - Planners for Planning Rights in Israel and have been in the board of directors of the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (1994-1999).
