Biography
Marcello joined ALA in 2016. In his previous position at The Boeing Company, Marcello held the position of Director of Communications for Italy, Southern Europe and Israel for more than 7 years. Previously, at Lockheed Martin, Marcello was Communications Manager, with responsibility for Air and Missile Defense, Tactical Missiles and Combat Maneuver Systems. Prior to Lockheed Martin, he was a Media Relations Officer at the U.S. Army Public Affairs Office – Field Artillery Center and School within the US Department of Defense. During his tenure, Marcello achieved the qualification of Public Affairs Officer (PAOQC) at the U.S. Defense Information School (DINFOS). In 1998-99 Marcello was Assistant Director for the International Programs at Western Kentucky University. Marcello holds a B.A. in Political Science cum laude from Western Kentucky University. He obtained a Masters degree in European Studies (Econ-IR.) from the London School of Economics and completed additional graduate work in European Studies at the University of Bradford (UK). At Boeing he was awarded the Communications Excellence award and received High Honors. At Lockheed he was recognized with the Excellence Award in Communications and the Comet Award. In 2008 he was inducted in the Honorable Order of Santa Barbara by the U.S. Army Field Artillery Association.
