Biography
Born in Trieste, Italy in 1956, he has a degree in Economics and Commerce and diplomatic studies fromTrieste University.
He began his career working for his family's travel agency before moving to Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo), where he worked for an Italian-Zairean joint-venture company which manufactured electrical cables.
In 1982, he returned to Italy and his former position within the family business.
Between 1993 and 1994, he was involved in the Aquafil Group's acquisition of Julon d.d.In 1995, he took over the position of chairman at the Slovenian company’s Board of Auditors before joining the Aquafil Group as a shareholder. Since 2000he has served as the general manager of Julon, Aquaset and Bulgari Filati, responsible for all operations in Slovenia and Croatia.
