Biography
Paolo Astaldi (born in 1960, 57 years) is Chairman of Astaldi since 2010, before he held the position of Deputy Chairman from 2001. He started is professional career in the Astaldi Group in 1985. From 1991 to 2000, he was Director of SO.GE.SI., the former Holding Company of Astaldi. He currently holds positions in Astaldi Group’s Companies, as well as in trade associations. He is Member of the General Council of Confindustria, Member of the Executive Committee and Member of the Chairmanship Committee of ASSONIME, Member of the Board of Regents of the Banca d'Italia in Rome, Member of Consultation Committee and Member of Corporate Governance Committee of Borsa Italiana, Member of the Board of Directors of Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. Mr. Astaldi has a degree in Economics from La Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. Already honoured with the title of ''Commendatore al Merito della Repubblica Italiana'' since 1998, the President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, conferred on him the honour of ''Grande Ufficiale Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana'' in June 2011.
