Biography
Alberto Recordati graduated in Biochemistry at King's College of London University in 1977 and in 1984 obtained a PhD in the Department of Biochemistry at Charing Cross Hospital Medical School at the same university. He joined Recordati in 1984 as a researcher in biochemistry laboratories. In 1987 he was appointed Head of Office Planning and Product Development. From 1990 to 1992 he worked at the US subsidiary Pharmetrix Corp. as co-ordinator of research projects. In 1992 he was entrusted with the Biochemical Industrial Management with responsibility for biochemical / microbiological research and the biochemical / fermentative production site of Cassina de 'Pecchi. In 1995 he became Director of the Research Division and Chemical Technologies. In 1999 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Fine Chemical Industry and in 2004 Vice President of Recordati SpA Since 2008 he has been entrusted with the coordination of the activities of the Drug Discovery and Drug Development departments of the Company and from 2011 also of the Licensing in. In 2016 he was appointed President.
